Washing Machine Pipe Leak Mixed with Poor Ventilation

Equipment used: Tracer gas, thermal imaging, moisture meter profiling and salts testing.

Upon arrival visual inspection was conducted throughout the property and damage was clearly evident to the wall and the flooring in the kitchen and hallway.

There was also damage to the window seals and this is due to blocked ventilation from the extractor fan running through the air vent.

Moisture meter profiling was carried out with reading of 999REL.

We carried out a thermal imaging survey however this presented no evidence.

When using the endoscope equipment behind the kitchen units, you could see the washing machine had a missing nut and washer. This caused the washing machine trap to leak every time the appliance was used.

We ensure that we try our very best in finding the leak within your property and use multiple different methods to do this. This includes pressure tests, acoustic surveys and salts tests.

When the salts tests were taken, they came back positive for chloride with a slight change in the nitrates. This tell us it was a wastewater issue.
